Obituary for Cecil Myers

Mr. Cecil William Myers, age 79 of 415 Grady School Road, Canon, Ga., went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 29, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on July 8, 1939 in Athens, Ga., to the late William Chester Myers and Mattie Lou Christy Myers. Cecil was a retired security guard in the manufacturing industry and was a member of Price Chapel Church of God.

He is survived by; his wife, Eula Williamson Myers of the home, children, Keith Myers of Banks County, Byron Myers of Toccoa, Ga., Carmen Bennett of Royston, Ga., Mitch Stowe of Royston, Ga., Keith Stowe of Elberton, Ga., Mike Stowe of Hartwell, Ga., Dana Vassar and Tina Griffin of Hartwell, Ga., brothers, Walter Myers and Bobby Myers and sister, Loretta Berryman. Twenty-eight grandchildren and a host of great-great grandchildren survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Charles L. Myers, daughter, Karen Harris and brother, Doug Myers.

Services celebrating the life of Cecil Myers will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Two o'clock from the chapel of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors with Rev. Johnny Stowe officiating. Private burial will follow at Lavonia City-Burgess Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 12-2 on Thursday just prior to the service at the funeral home. The family will be at the home.

Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson Street in Hartwell will be serving the Myers family.
